Working papers you can work with

A client with seven wallets across four chains does not arrive with records you can work from. Finality turns that position into what your file actually needs: a box-mapped computation, the evidence workbook SA108 requires to be enclosed, and — separated out, ranked by financial impact — the judgements that are genuinely the client’s to make.

Nothing is aggregated away, gains and losses are stated separately, every valuation and estimate is flagged for box 53, and the basis of preparation with its limitations sits on page one, not in a footnote.

Share mode
The client grants read-only access; they can revoke it at any time, and both of you can see exactly what is shared.
One sign-in, every client
Sign in with the address your clients share to, and every client who has shared a tax year with it is listed in one place, with whether they have paid and whether their documents are ready. Reviewing is free: each client pays for their own filing year.
Invite clients
Send a client an invitation from your client list. It shares nothing in either direction; they appear on your list only when they choose to share a year with you.
Open questions
Each with the amount at stake and both outcomes costed — a review agenda, not a data dump.
Evidence workbook
Every headline figure tied to source rows in a reconciliation sheet. XLSX, full detail, never sampled.
Sign-off state
Mark each question reviewed, record the position taken, and see what changed since you last looked. Sign off the year and your client approves it; a changed answer shows the sign-off no longer covers the figures.
Comments
A thread on each question and on the year, between you and your client, beside the figures it is about.

The practice sees computations, evidence and open questions. It does not see sign-in details, billing, or anything the client has not shared. The figures above are the reference dataset this engine was built against, not any client’s.

The indented line is a memo — it sits inside the cryptoasset position rather than adding to it, and is excluded from the subtotal. A loss carries a minus sign on screen and accounting parentheses on the working paper; nothing is carried by colour.

What this is not

Finality is software. It computes figures and shows its working. It does not give tax advice, and it is not a firm of accountants. The judgement remains yours, which is the point — the tool’s job is to make sure you can see what you are signing.
